Simply Starting Our Journaling Journey Today!
Hopefully this Blog Post can help Us get started on Our Journaling Journey.
“Know yourself to improve yourself.”
-Auguste Comte
(January 19, 1798 – 5 September 5, 1857)
While Journaling it is important to look at both sides of The Coin.
Looking At The Good:
-List everything We’re thankful for.
-List everything We’ve done that We’re proud of.
-List the ways We take care of Ourselves.
-List the ways We take care of others, including plants, animals, and humans.
-List the causes We’ve contributed to, whether with money, time, or some other way.
-List the contributions We make in Our households.
-List the contributions We make in Our communities.
-List the contributions We make in the world at large.
-List the unexpected gifts We’ve received, whether that’s a tangible present or a lovely coincidence.
Looking At The Bad:
-What’s bugging Us?
-What do We think about when We wake up in the middle of the night and can’t get back to sleep?
-If We had a magic wand what would We change?
-If We had a magic wand that could make anything disappear what would We choose to let go of?
-What concerns Us?
-What are We afraid of?
-What are We ashamed of?
-What downright ticks Us off?
-What one relationship do We most need to heal or end?
-What would Our ideal Life look like.
Journaling is a great way to look at Our lives and take stock.
We will gain clarity about what’s important in Our lives.
Journaling reveals to Us that when We live Our lives by Intentional Choice We are Consciously Living.
It also shows Us that When We live Our lives by Reacting to Chance Occurrences We are Unconsciously Living.
Journaling helps Us realize that We are in charge of Creating the Life We want to live.
Intentionality is the key to building the Life We truly want to live.
We have much more control over Our personalities and outlooks than many of Us know. We can change negative habitual thinking patterns into positive habitual thinking patterns, but it takes effort on Our parts and can be very difficult at times.
Changing Our habitual responses to external and internal forces seems extremely daunting, but if We stay Mindful in the present it is possible to pause for several seconds and then react the way We want to react.
Nothing should hold Us back from Our aspirations and dreams, especially Ourselves!
Even if We only get a single crumb of “The Cake Of Life” We can still feel Grateful that We’re able to Enjoy that crumb to it’s Fullest!
We don’t have to be chained to Our Habitual Negative Thinking Patterns!
If We are not happy with Ourselves or Our situation it is possible to pivot into a more positive direction!
We are in control of Our actions and reactions.
We can stop giving negative people power over Us!
We can stop giving Our own negative thoughts and emotions power over Us!
We can transcend Our Self Imposed Limitations!
All We need is the destination We want to reach and the reason for getting there.
The million dollar questions are:
-Who do We want to be?
-Why do We want to be that person?
-And What are We waiting for?
Journaling brings Our Core Values to Light and into Focus so We can pursue Our Goals and Dreams.
